About me
I grew up in Mexico and Germany, moving between the two several times, an experience that shaped my deep appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.
My academic journey led me to Maastricht University, where I earned my Neuropsychology Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Health and Social Psychology. To deepen my skills, I have completed advanced trainings in Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, and PXT consulting. These approaches allow me to offer a holistic, body-mind-centered framework, tailored to meet your unique needs.
I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including an addiction rehabilitation center and a daycare center for Alzheimer’s patients. These experiences have enriched my understanding of the complexities of human challenges and resilience.
Alongside my work in clinics, I have been offering online counseling sessions for the past 3 years and continue to be dedicated to supporting individuals on their paths to healing and personal growth.
Thoughts on counseling
I like to think of a counseling session as a guided journey. It’s a process of connecting with our own inner world. Sometimes it’s a discovery, seeing something for the first time or gaining a new perspective.
Along the way, we face sensations, memories, emotions, and beliefs. Often we may encounter parts of ourselves we have neglected, or even hidden away. Therefore it is crucial to tread with compassion, to create a safe space in which the body can self-regulate, and where reconnection can occur.
The key is to embark on this journey with courage, guided by loving presence, which allows us to explore new ways of dealing with old issues.
We seek the resilience already within each person, finding the resources that help us face life’s challenges. Through this process, we learn to understand ourselves better, empower ourselves, regain trust and security, and know how to regulate our unique systems.
I see the importance of self-development in striving to move through life with more flow and vitality. We all have this ability, but sometimes obstacles push us off course. When we return to our path, we recover coherence, connection to our true selves, and our creativity.
